THE PROBLEM
Care records were spread across paper and spreadsheets.
02
Care homes visited Interviews + workflow demos
Naza Care’s staff used paper, Word, Excel and OneDrive to document support for young people. Switching between records made information harder to find and update.
THE USERS
Staff
Record daily care, track medication and manage home tasks.
Owner
Review activity, staffing and tasks across care homes.
Young people
View their own records and progress.
01 / MEDICATION
Medication tracking
with automatic reminders.
Medication schedules, dose records and stock levels in one place, with reminders when medicine is due.
Daily medication record
Medication setup
Staff previously checked different records to follow medication schedules and stock. Reminders and one shared view made this easier to manage.
02 / ROTA & REQUESTS
Staff rotas
and leave
in one view.
A monthly calendar shows who is working and who is on leave, with staff requests available beside the rota.
REVIEWING STAFF REQUESTS
Review leave and rota requests alongside the staff schedule.
Pending → Approved/ Rejected
03 / SUPPORT PLANNING
Flexible support plans
for each young person.
Staff set goals, log support sessions and review progress. I added settings so the support framework could change without a developer.

DESIGN REFLECTION
What I learned
from care staff.
Visits and interviews helped me organise the product around daily tasks. Editable support settings meant the framework could change later.
