Overview
This project enhances care home operations by supporting young people’s well-being. It streamlines tasks like medication logs, financial tracking, staff management, and session planning for efficient care delivery.
My Role
  • Designed UX from scratch, 0→1.

  • Used Ant Design System to jump start.

  • Simplified workflows for staff and admins.

  • Created wireframes and interactive prototypes.

  • Worked with PMs, Devs, and QA to deliver the product.

Timeline

Aug 2024 – Jan 2025.
Rolled out across care homes in London.

Outcome
  • 48.7% reduction in daily data entry time (from 80 mins to 45 mins).

  • 65.8% faster report generation (from 3 hrs/week to 1.6 hrs).

  • More time for direct care, improving service quality.

Problems

Business Problem

No central system. High admin costs. Frequent errors. Paperwork slowed everything down. Compliance risks grew. Service quality dropped. The organization needed a fast, reliable digital system.

User Problem

Care home staff used outdated tools. Excel, Word, OneDrive. Tracking tasks, logging meds, and scheduling shifts took too long. Mistakes happened. Reports got delayed. Compliance suffered. Less time for care.
Key Features Designed

Dashboard

Staff needed quick access to tasks, incidents, and schedules. The dashboard puts high-priority actions front and center. Everything in one place.

Staff Rota Management

Scheduling was chaotic. We built a drag-and-drop tool. It sends alerts for conflicts and tracks leave. No more last-minute surprises.

Medication Tracking

Missed doses were a risk. Now, staff log medications. They track completion (completed, pending, missed). Automated reminders prevent errors.
